Our Partners

WriteSpace is possible through collaboration with Westminster School and their Platform Program, along with a new partnership with the National Theatre for special sessions. To learn more about each Partner please visit their website via the links in their names.

Westminster School is renowned globally for its commitment to academic excellence, fostered by its students' sincere passion for exploration, robust dialogue, and the pursuit of knowledge beyond mere exam requirements. Within a safe, dynamic, and encouraging atmosphere, students are empowered to cultivate their intellectual, physical, spiritual, and social growth. They actively engage in diverse opportunities spanning art, drama, music, sports, and community service, thereby enriching their holistic development.

Westminster School launched its Platform programs in 2018, where its partner state-run schools nominate their pupils for a one-year programme of 12 Saturday morning sessions in either the Humanities and STEM, that are taught by the Westminster School teachers.  An academic enrichment programme, there are three initiatives based on age groups: Platform Pups for Year 2, Platform for Year 5, and Platform+ for Year 10.

The Kartik Foundation is also now partnering with the National

Theatre, with the NT joining the 2024 WriteSpace Platform+ sessions at Westminster. A series of workshops have been developed to introduce students to dramatic writing, finding their voice, and how that can translate to a play performance. Students will also have the opportunity to watch the 2024 winners of the National Theatre's New Views programme, which may inspire some to participate in following years. New Views is a year-long

in-school playwriting programme for UK students aged 14-19.

A professional playwright is paired with each school, who then

supports the students to write their own 30-min plays.
